National Guard, 20+ Years I originally entered the Air Force in 1985, and after graduating basic training, I was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base from 1985 to 1988. I then joined the New York Air National Guard and served at Roslyn Air National Guard Station, in Roslyn, NY, then went on to serve at Gabreski Air National Guard Base. During my 22 years in the military, I also spent over 13 years writing a complete history of my former station which has been inducted into several historical instittutions including the Library of Congress, and I also donated my work to the Glen Cove High School for all future students to use to help them choose good careers for themselves.
