Graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1979. Assigned to polar icebreaker Northwind, then Loran Station Kure Island. Spent next seven years inspecting ships in the ports of Baltimore and New York City. Received my Master's Degree in Physics and taught physics at the Coast Guard Academy. Ended my career in 1999 working in the port of Providence, RI.

USAF 1960 - 1984 Retired Major, flying worldwide in C-124 Globemasters (Old Shakeys), C-141A&B Starlifters (called the Silver Samurai by Viet Nam troops airlifted out to go home), F-4D&E Phantoms (old Smokeys).
Much loved career, flew into every continent and Viet Nam every year from 1960 to 1974. Operation Deep Freeze 1969 and 1971. TDY to Châteauroux AB, France six months 1963 in C-124s.

She Currently lives in Florida with her two children and a house full of animals
