About Event

Hello All,

By the end of this month and this email you're going to be tired of me but hey its around the corner! Just so you know, the emails from me will be scattered in an organized way (just like me!)

I found a better group rate price at the Quality Inn at Exit 4 (by the mall) for the
price of $80 a night. I checked out the reviews and looked at photos and I'm cool with it PLUS they have a pretty decent breakfast in comparison to the Holiday Inn. They advised that they are VERY reunion friendly and I am going to break down all the logistics with the manager in the morning. The group name will be Fort Campbell Reunion, no deposits of any sort will be required. The link to look at the hotel for yourself is: http://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-clarksville-tennessee-TN542.

I also spoke with the vice principal about a picnic and tour so that is set for Friday. Anyone interested can leave from the campus and hit the football game (I am almost certain this will be no charge either via a comp rate or via our ticket prices). The Falcons will be playing Christian County so that will be a pretty cool rivalry with tons of people there. I figure we go, snap some photos, show some support and ROLL OUT! Anyone tired can crash and anyone who still thinks they're 18 can party the night away! Kids are welcome to attend the picnic and football game.

Saturday will be a chill day with us hanging out around the pool at the Quality Inn (Indoor or Outdoor..weather permitting) I know, I know...some of you barely wanted anyone to see you fully clothed so WHY let them see you in your skivvies!?!? WHATEVER! Gravity has only been nice to a select few and to prove it, I will be in nothing but a bathing suit made out of jello and cottage cheese! FYI: The hotel has a bar for anyone wanting a drink.

Saturday evening is tentatively set for the Bruce Convention Center UNLESS someone just pulls a magic rabbit out their hat in the next day since I will be signing the contract. They seem really accommodating and are used to handling events for people from out of town. A few of our classmates recently had weddings in other portions of their facility and gave them raving reviews. There will be tickets for drinks and once you run out of tickets drinks will need to be purchased on your own OR you can just run to your car for a sip! The highest mixed drink that wasn't well was $7; that's pretty decent. There is a balcony for smoking and appetizers will be served since that is what was requested. I booked it from 7 until 12 since NONE of us expect everyone to be on time. Expect icebreakers, memories, slideshows, a memorial tribute and if I can pull it off...KARAOKE for you party animals!

Some of us have long drives and/or flights ahead of us so we will meet for a farewell breakfast on Sunday will be back at the Quality Inn. They have a nice spread and not just danishes etc. Some of you will not have recovered and we will miss you while others will be in shades moving in slow motion!

The price of the tickets are $50 for classmates and $40 for guests. Do not think your opinions were not listened to closely before making any major decisions. Just remember that I cannot please everyone (no matter how hard I try). Most of this is negotiable but I will say that the sentiment is to have an affordable but polished event so that we will feel as if we got our money's worth out of travel, flights and time off from work. The only way this all works is IF we all commit and pay for our tickets. You can pay via Pay Pal by clicking the "Transfer" Tab and selecting "Send Money to Someone" The money will need to be sent to this address ftcampbellclassof2003@gmail.com

I NEED help with the following...everyone don't volunteer at the same time:
A sound system
A Karaoke rental company
A person to do the slideshow who is willing to be bombarded with photos in their inbox
Someone willing to make some mix CDS of what is hot now and what we listened to in high school...a nice variety of genres will be appreciated
Someone to complete the memorial collage with names, photos and a nice little poems or prayer that can be read
Bios of what you've been up to in the last 10 years even if its selling babies on the black market...PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW!

I'm gonna end it there since this was a lot to take in already!
Thanks in Advance,
Erica
