in search of the owner of a 1967 class ring found at Fort Gordon

My Dad found a high school ring from Fayetteville West Virginia class of 1967. He found it in a locker at Fort Gordon Georgia in 1967. There are initials inside the ring. We contacted by email the high school and he also called them on the telephone. They wouldn't give him any info at all on who this ring belonged too. This has been bothering him for years, he has always wanted to get that ring back to whomever it belongs to. Does anyone have any idea at all on a way we could get this ring back to the rightful owner? I am sure it would mean a great deal to someone to have this ring back home. Help please. Thank You.
