My brother (John David Burt) and I were some of the original first grade students when Marshall School opened in c1953. Our teacher was Mrs. Schram (sic).
We attended kindergarten in the Forestry Building at ASC (NAU) the previous year. We started first grade in the Thomas wing at FHS before moving over to the new Marshall School. We attended all elementary classes there before attending Flagstaff Junior High School and then FHS graduating in 1965.
