1981?On that year, around maybe 5th grade, Sammy Schroeder and all of his siblings attending Spring Valley Grade School passed away during the night. We were all in shock, like most of us did if you're from the North side of Elyria. I lived on Lucille Drive (off Hillard and Gulf Road). Sammy Schroeder lived on the very street next to Lucille Drive. The neighbor right next to him was Paul Santiago.A fire occurred at Sammy's house in the middle of the night. Sammy and all of his siblings died in the fire. The only survivor was Sammy's mother. A memorial plaque was set in place in front of Spring Valley. Sammy was in our grade and would of graduated in 1989. He wassuper smart. We miss you and your family.
