Graduated Harpoon Surface to Surface Missile System, Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, Hi.Served aboard U.S.S. Reeves CG-24, and U.S.S. Worden CG-18, Pearl Harbor, Hi. While on U.S.S. Reeves, participated in failed rescue attempt during the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Received following awards: Good Conduct, Navy Expeditionary Medals, Battle "E" Award.
