Judy Morran Retirement

Mrs. Judy Morran will be retiring from Edgewood Intermediate School at the end of this (2011-2012) school year, after 39 years of empowering, educating, and loving kids. She has made many wonderful memories with her students, her students' parents, her coworkers, and collaborators over those nearly four decades. It is those memories, and the inspiration she has given others through those memories, that are truly precious to her.

Rather than have a big party celebrating her achievements, in true Mrs. Morran fashion she would rather have people take a moment and write her a letter. This letter can be about your favorite memories, how she inspired you, simply an update about your life, or really whatever you'd like. It can be as long or as short as you want.

She has no idea that we (her family) are doing this, so don't let Mrs. Morran know what you are doing. You can email your letter to a secret account that we created ( judymorran@gmail.com ). We will simply collect all of the letters in the account and give her the password as a retirement gift. This means you can submit your letter any time between now and the end of May.

Also, please invite people to the group, or send the email address to other people that you know are or were connected to Mrs. Morran. We are relying on everyone to spread the word....hopefully without word getting back to Mrs. Morran.

Ken Mitchell, Science Teacher
