About Event

Hello Everyone, Thank you all so much for either responding or notifying others, because we’ve heard from so many more people than years’ past that this one may be a good’n. We’ve scheduled events for Friday and Saturday evening so we can all spend a lot more time together than we did the last time we were in Charlotte. Our trips to the beach were memorable, but sorta sparse (although we did have a lot of fun – despite the underwhelming numbers). Friday Night: 8:00 (ish) – Drop-In At: Lynn’s Speakeasy – (there’s a 4.00 cover at the door for the DJ) 4819 S. Tryon Street Charlotte http://sites.google.com/site/lynnsdanceclub/Home This is the home of the Charlotte Shag Club, (that’ll clue you on the music) Saturday Night: 6:30 – ‘till we get thrown out Red Rocks Café 4223-B Providence Road Charlotte www.redrockscafe.com Last time we were there, everyone enjoyed the venue, food, beverages, and of course, the excellent company. We did everything a la carte, and everyone ate when they felt like it, wandered around when they felt like it, and pretty much did as they pleased. We’ll have some nice music, and some time to formally address everyone as the evening unfolds. They have room for about 80-100 (if we stand real close), but to date we’ve not been that populated, so we should fit just fine. It’s such a nice place with a wonderful upscale menu and casual feel to it that it fits most of us well. This also opens up Saturday all day for anything anybody dreams up between now and then. We’re a relatively flexible bunch, and I have to believe that even after all these years, we can still get it done in a memorable fashion – whatever IT is. Oh, and the Panthers have a home game Sunday afternoon against Buffalo. We don’t need an accurate headcount until a few weeks prior to the bash, but in all honesty, and to avoid any degree of angst; it’d be nice to know who plans to be there as soon as you can work it out. In a perfect world, I’d suggest October 1 – AND – you know I’ll send out another irritating e-mail to that effect. Can’t wait…… E
