About Me | Talking about yourself is always akward. What can I say? I'm the baby of the family, laid back, love to laugh, like animals more than I do humans. I have a hard exterior but a soft, mushy inside. I want to make a difference in the world. Even if it's just improving someone's life, human or animal. I love history (all eras), animals, my family, friends, reading, and sports. I'm a die hard Detroit Red Wings fan (White and Red til I'm cold and dead!). I'm one of those werido that even sit outside from dawn til dusk to get autographs and pictures during training camp. Why is it werid? Because I shake and cry the moment they come up to me, it's a hoot for everyone around me. I also watch Detroit Tigers baseball, Detroit Lions football, Grand Rapids Griffens, and the U of Michigan. I love pro wrestling...WWE, TNA, ROH. I know it's "fake" but it's also "real". Go ahead, fall down, I'll wait.......hurt didn't it? I have a serious disease, Crohns. I have all the trimmings that come with the disease, way too many to get into here. In Oct 2012 I collapsed, I haven't walked since. I spent time in a coma, battled back from a nearly fatal blood infection, and many, many surgeries. I lived in a phys. rehab home for almost a year. Since that day my life has spun around surgeries, therapy, pills, doctors, hospital slumber parties, and planning. I'm hoping to start some serious phy. therapy in 6-8 weeks so I can learn to walk. Some doctors say that I'll never walk again, but fuck them. I can stand and have already walked 6 feet with a walker, hey, it's a start. I hope after I'm "normal" again that I can do some of things I've thought about. Donating more of my time to animal shelters. Maybe walk a 5k. And bring up the topic of being disabled (in all areas) into the spotlight more. I never realized how differently a person is treated once their disability is something that can be viewed or touched. Some of my favorite things to do is write, usually in a journal that may someday be a book after I die. I color too, yes, I'm still 5 years old! I love to spend time traveling, I want to see the world someday but for now I go to all the small towns around me and I could spend weeks just sitting on the beach and staring out onto the bay. (Grand Traverse, Lake Michigan).I also love to eat! I live life through my family and friends, I feel their pain when they hurt and I get excited for even their smallest achievements. So, is that enough? Need or want to know more? Just follow my page, I post often. Sometimes I'm ...(read more) |
