Arthur (Art) Ogg
Class of 1961
Navy, 5 Years
Upon enlisting in the full time Navy after high school, I went immediately to electronics maintenance school. I attend over 2 years of schools in both the Great Lakes Training Center and the computer repair school at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C. After graduation I was sent to serve on the U.S.S. Long Beach, a nuclear powered guided missile heavy cruiser, based out of Norfolk, Virginia. During my time aboard the Long Beach we participated in a around the world cruise with the Enterprise and the Bainbridge. The Long Beach has been decommissioned but the other two are still in active Navy service. I have never regretted my military service. It provided me with a life long career in the field of electronics. After full time employment in 2011, I started my own consulting company that I work with on almost a daily basis.

Jully 1977 - Feb 1999. Enlisted as a Recovery Vehicle Operator, also worked as Light Wheel Mechanic, M60 Tank Mechanic, M1 Tank Systems Mechanic and Direct Support Mechanic. Served in Germany, Korea, Hungry/Bosnia and several State side posts. Retired as Sergeant First Class.In 1976 I was 1/2 credit short to graduate. Obtained GED while serving in Germany in 1978.
