Program on Capt. Walter Dyett
I'm trying to find someone who could present a program about Capt. Walter Dyett and his influence on the careers of great musicians who graduated from Phillips and DuSable High Schools. This program would be for a group of older adults at our Mather's--More Than a Cafe located in the Chatham neighborhood on 83rd Street. We are scheduling programs now for October, November, and December. The program would be for about an hour on a Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. If you know someone who might be interested in talking about the life and career of Capt. Dear Friends,
I am greatly saddened to announce the death of my father, Dr. Bert B. Babero, Sr., a 1937 graduate of DuSable High, in Chicago. My father passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 15, 2012 at the age of 93, without incident.
Services will be held at Palm Mortuary, located.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. and the funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
