Hershell Moody Class of 1961
Army, 20+ Years Thirty years in the U.S. Army initially serving in the armored cavalry and later as a medical service corps officer.
Tom Stott Class of 1971
Army, 20+ Years Colonel Stott served as Deputy Director for Humanitarian Affairs and Landmine Policy in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. In this assignment, Colonel Stott was the Lead Department of Defense Negotiator and Deputy Head of the U.S. Delegation to the Convention on Conventional Weapons in Geneva Switzerland. Colonel Stott was additionally responsible for initiating humanitarian demining programs in mine-afflicted countries throughout the world and was instrumental in establishing a humanitarian demining program with the Republic of Vietnam, the first Department of Defense program with Vietnam since the end of the war. Colonel Stott’s other assignments include: Deputy Director of Operations, US Army Europe Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations; Battalion Commander – 222d Base Support Battalion, Baumholder, Germany; Investigator, U.S. Army Inspector General, Washington DC; Battalion Operations Officer and Battalion Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment (82d Airborne Division), Ft Bragg, NC; Assistant G1, 82d Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC; Personnel Director and Executive Officer, U.S. Army Special Operations Force (Airborne) Europe, Bad Toelz, Germany; Assistant Professor of Military Science, Georgetown University, Washington DC; Company Commander, Company D, 1st Battalion, 1st Infantry Training Brigade, Ft. Benning, GA; Defensive Tactics Instructor, Command & Tactics Department, Ft. Benning, GA; and S2, Platoon Leader and Anti-Tank Platoon Leader, 1st Battalion, 13th Infantry, Baumholder, Germany. Colonel Stott has also served in Bosnia and Kosovo. Colonel Stott’s awards and decorations include: the Defense Superior Service Medal, 6 awards of the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, 2 awards of the Army Commendation Medal, 3 awards of the Army Achievement Medal, Department of State Superior Honor Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 3, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award. Colonel Stott has also been awarded the Master Parachutist’s Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Office of the Secretary of Defense Identification Badge, and Germany Senior Parachutist Badge.
Troy R. Glenn Class of 1983
Army, 20+ Years Served in Iraq from 2004 to 2006. Awarded the Silver Star Medal for Heroism, The Bronze Star Medal for Valor, and 2 Purple Heart Medals for gunshot wounds. Retired with 24 years of service and the rank of First Sergeant.
