Navy, 11 Years I reported to Recruit Training Command located in Great Lakes, IL in January 1997. Duty Stations: USS MT. WHITNEY (LCC/JCC-20) located in Norfolk, VA (1997-2001); Naval Reserve Professional Development located in New Orleans, LA (2001-2004); USS BATAAN (LHD-5) located in Norfolk, VA (2004-2008); currently station at Afloat Training Command Atlantic located in Norfolk, VA. Accomplishment and recognitions: Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Aviation Warfare Specialist, Junior Sailor of the Year (2002), Junior Instructor of the Year (2003), Helping One Student to Succeed (HOSTS) mentor of the Year (2002 & 2003), Junior Sailor of the Quarter, Master Training Specialist Certificate, Engineering Duty Officer, Gas Free Engineering Assistant, Sewage Disposal Officer, Ballasting Officer, four Navy Enlisted Classification Code (NEC), and contributed in the humanitarian efforts during hurricane Katrina, Maritime Operations in Fifth (Arabian Sea) and Sixth Fleet (Mediterranean Sea). I am currently ranked as Chief Damage Controlman (E-7). Awards and decorations include: five Navy Achievement Medals, Navy Unit Commendation ribbon, three Battle “E” ribbons, three Navy Good Conduct Medals, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, two Sea Service ribbons, NATO Medal- Kosovo, Navy Rifleman Medal. I am presently still enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and is currently at the rank of Chief Damage Controlman (E-7)

Air Force, 4 Years Airborne Radio Repairman On the B-52 and KC-135 aircraft of the Strategic Air Command. Participated in Operation Arc Light during the Vietnam war.

Coast Guard, 4 Years I served four years in the US Coast Guard. I was stationed at the Search and Rescue Station in Port O'Connor Texas for three years, and then I completed my last tour at the Search and Rescue AirStation at Ellington Field in Houston Tx.
