Please RSVP if you are planning to: 1) attend or not attend the reunion and, 2) the below activities in which you would like to participate. We would also like to solicit your help in locating “lost” classmates and musicians for the Saturday Jam Session. It is hard to believe that it has been 40 years since high school graduation. The combined EHS/WHS Class of 1971 Reunion Committee has selected the weekend of July 8, 2011 for our 40th reunion activities. These activities are being planned to be conducted in the Southern Tier of NY, including Corning and Keuka Lake. We would love to have you join us this year. So far, here are the details: Friday, July 8, 2011: 12:00pm to 4:00pm Sign-up for a tour of your Jr High and/or Sr High School: CFA, Northside, Painted Post, East, West. Friday, July 8, 2011: 7:00 pm to ? Mixer with cash bar, light food and reunion committee planned activities at Lando’s in Corning, NY. Saturday, July 9, 2011: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Daily activities including but not limited to museum tours, miniature golf, regular golf, vineyard tour, lake activities, other suggestions? Ric Smith is coordinating the golf outing. NOTE: Classmate volunteers are needed to coordinate and lead each planned activity. (Main Event) Saturday, July 9, 2011: 2:00pm to 10:00pm - An organized jam session at the Corning VFW Post 524 Hall with scheduled individuals and groups of individuals playing various genres. Food (4-6pm) and drink will be available for sale. If possible, we would like to take donations for charity and give back to the community where all of us once lived. Bob Kosty and Greg Smerdon are coordinating this event. (Optional) Saturday, July 9, 2011: ~ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Impromptu dinner groups at your favorite restaurant on Keuka Lake (Optional) Saturday, July 9, 2011: 7:00 pm – ? Mixer with cash bar at The Switzerland Inn, Hammondsport, NY Sunday, July 10, 2011: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Brunch at your favorite place (Central Restaurant?) with the friends you have connected with. Cost: Currently, no advance funds are anticipated for the above planned activities. However, you will need adequate personal funds to participate as needed for each activity. Last, but certainly not least, we are “Calling All Musicians in the Classes of 1971” for the Saturday Jam Session. If you are interested in participating or helping in some way (e.g. musician, sound system set-up/take down, arrangements, etc.) or you know of someone who may be interested, please indicate by contacting any member of the Reunion Committee via the below email addresses.
