Still serving ..... Chief Mike Alford has been serving our nation's Navy for 19 years now. From multiple deployments over the course of his career to serving in Afghanistan and Iraq numerous time he has made a sginificant impact on the security of our nation. His duty stations span many over the course of his service from San Diego, Camp Pendleton, 29 Palms, Maryland and Washington DC area to back in California. Mike is currently serving with the Marine Corps aboard Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA. Pictures to come soon.

Did 4 years of Marine Corps service. One year in Okinawa, Japan. Following that he came back to 29 Palms , CA. While serving here, he did one tour in Iraq just before serving the end of his contract.

Stationed at USAF Academy Hosp as an orthopedic surgeon from '71-73. Got out and then several years joined the reserves. In reserves several years until Pres. Clinton virtually shut down the military in the mid 90's. Still work as a civilian liaison officer for the USAFA. Have done so for 22 years. It's well worth investing time and effort to keep this the greatest country in the world.

I entered the Army out of High School, and served for 10 years. I left the Army in 1969 as a Captain in the Signal Corps. In my 10 years of service, I spent 8 1/2 of them outside of the US, including 1 year in Vietnam.

Joined U.S. Air Force 1951 sent to Pensacola, Fl.
Final flight training at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas. Became Second Lieutenant and was assigned to fly Douglas F3D-2/F-10B Skyknight.
He was killed 14 November 1954 in a pilot down at sea training accident. Assigned to Cherry Point, NC. Body not recovered.
