Bob Hughes Class of 1960
Navy, 20+ Years Computer Programmer. Mostly Joint Service Commands. Seven years underground in Hawaii; Two years on Aircraft Carrier in Vietnam; US Strike Command in Tampa, NAS Pensacola and North Island NAS took up the rest. Retired as Master Chief.
Bruce Spohn Class of 1965
Army, 20+ Years Served in europe from 1965 to 1994 was on duty at a war exercise when the Berlin Wall came down.
Christopher Nichols Class of 1971
Army, 3 Years RA-Basic; Ft Ord,CA, AIT; Flight Control Repair; Ft Gordon, GA. 2 tours Germany Reforger
Dennis Ferguson Class of 1967
Navy, 20+ Years Retired as a Master Chief after 20 years of service. Ships include USS Enterprise CVAN-65, USS Preble DLG/DDG 15/46, USS McInerny FFG-8.
Erik Oxenbol Class of 2000
Army, 4 Years Served 4 years in the army. Deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi freedom twice. Served in OIF 1 and OIF 2. Stationed in Germany for the balance of the time in service.
Gary Looveridge Class of 1961
Marine Corps, 4 Years I served as a rifle platoon commander and company executive officer in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. (Mike Company 3/26) I left the Corps after four years as a captain. The last tour was at the Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C. Semper Fi.
Gary Wilkerson Class of 1967
Army, 3 Years Helicopter crew chief/door gunner in Viet Nam in 1969.
George Bailey Poplin Class of 1962
Marine Corps, 20+ Years Enlisted in Marine Corps in 1966. Basic Rifleman. Retired First Sergeant Infantry 1994.
J Douglas Dent Class of 1961
Navy, 3 Years Coerced into the Navy by the Army in June 1967. NAOC Pensacola. Comissioned there, dropped out of the flight program due to tales by friends (Rex Bankhead, and others not of the class of '61). Served three years on Commander 6th Fleet Staff on stationed on USS Little Rock. Sailed around Mediterranean, waving flag, and chasing vastly better Soviet Navy in that theater. Best thing coming out, son James born US Naval Hospital Naples (Pozzuoli, Italia), May 1970. Must have done OK as discharged as Lieutenant when all was said and done.

James Burgess Class of 1987
Navy, 20+ Years James proudly served in the United States Navy from November 10th 1987 until November 30th 2007. With tours starting in boot camp San Diego El Centro from 1988-1991, VS-29 From 1991-1996, HSL-47 From 1996-1999, USS Constellation from 1999-2003, VRC-30 from 2003 until until 2006, with a final 1 year tour on the USS Nimitz.

Army, 8 Years CPT Jason Hughes has served two tours in Iraq and is currently assigned to an Army Reserve unit in Vallejo, CA.

Navy, 7 Years Boot camped in San Diego,Ca. Served as Operations Specialist (Radar operator). USS New Jersey(BB-62), and USS Inchon(LPH-12).

Life member VFW Post 4244, USMC Combat Correspondents Association.

Army, 3 Years Basic in Missouri, AIT at Lowry AFB, CO. Two years on mobile calibration teams in West Germany. Worked on teams in Nuremberg and Stuttgart areas.
