I served in the Air Force from 1978 to 1998, spending most of my time at the Pentagon, and working in the Immediate Office of the Secretary of Defense when I retired. I got a chance to travel to quite a few states and countries during my career, plus I got a chance to live in Iceland for a year, too. I'm originally from Washington, D.C., so almost 17 years of my career was spent at 'home' while I worked at the Pentagon.
