Navy, 6 Years lawyer in Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps. Served at Subic Bay, Philippines; Navy-Marine Corps Appellate Defense Division in Washington, D.C., and as staff judge advocate on USS HUNLEY (AS31) in Holy Loch, Scotland.
Richard Cloyd Class of 1955
Navy, 20+ Years Entered the US Navy in 1956, attended radio school. Served on board the USS Tang (SS563) and the USS Lexington (CVA16). Honorably discharged after 4 years. Reentered the navy on voluntary recall for Viet Nam. Stationed at Naval Communication Station Philippines, Command Destroyer Division 92 in Long Beach, CA. Deployed to Viet Nam, from there I was stationed at Naval Communications Station, Naples, Italy. Served on the USS Trippe (FF1075) in Charleston, SC. Served as a navy instructor at Naval Training Command, San Diego, CA. Went back to Naples, Italy for a tour. Was transferred to Commander Amphibious Group 1 in Okinawa. Our flag ship was the USS Blue Ridge, landing communications command ship. My last tour of duty was in Naval Communication Station San Diego where I retired as Commissioned Warrant Officer Four.

Air Force, 6 Years AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL REPAIRMAN, B52D,& G MODELS. STATIONED AT FAIRCHILD AFB FOR MY 6 YEARS BUT WAS T.D.Y. TO GUAM FOR LINEBACKER II, DIRECT BOMBING OF VIETNAM. ALSO WORKED KC-135A'S AND UH-IH N HELICOPTERS. ALSO T.D.Y. TO GLASCOW AFB MT. THERES A SITE!. MADE SSGT IN 5 BUT GOT OUT ANY WAY. A.F. LIFE WAS NO FUN LATER IN THE TERM.
