After Graduating from La Tech, I joined the AF. I went to Officers Training school then Pilot Training. I served one year in Vietnam, flying EC-47's, and then came back to the states and transitioned to KC-135's. I married an AF Nurse, had two wonderful Children, and retired as a Maj after 21 years service. I am now retired from Envioronmental Remediation, and live in Bossier City La. I play in several bands, and the Music keeps me going

Went to basic traing for 6 weeks at north fort hood texas (infatry ), then went to fort sam houston in san antonio tx. for 8 weeks of military police training. then i was sent directly to koreato the 40th division 40th military police companyi served nearly 2 years there. i then got out and served 6 years of inactive rserves i am in the american legion. i served as state commander of it in 2002-2003. i now serve on the national level of resolutions on the americanism commision. great to have survived and come home from korea

US Army Special Forces Detachment XO / Commander, US Army 7th Special Forces Group Commander and Executive Officer of a Special Forces SCUBA Detachment, actively engaged in counter- insurgency and counter-narcotics operations. Successfully deployed and trained Costa Rican Police Force on the Costa-Rican-Nicaraguan border; deployed the first counter-narcotics Mobil Training Team (MTT) to Mazamari, Peru in 1988 and established the first counter-narcotics Program of Instruction and training program (founder of the current Peruvian Jungle Operations School in Mazamari, Peru); trained and worked the most successful regional intelligence center in Usulatan, El Salvador; Embassy Field Coordinator in Santa Lucia, Peru, 1991-1993, responsible for planning and coordinating the neutralization and permanent blocking of eight major narco-trafficking airfields effectively coordinating with the Peruvian National Police, Air Force, and Army to include NAS and DYNCORP. Embassy Field Coordinator, US Embassy, Narcotics Affairs Section, Lima, Peru Served as a military detailee/advisor to the US Department of State (DOS) International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), in the sensitive region of the Upper Huallaga Valley, Peru. Responsible for coordinating ALL activities relative to development and operation of the largest active (aviation) Counter-Narcotics base in South America with an annual operating budget fluctuating between 18-22 million dollars. Advised on adequacy of contractor personnel in the field in tactical intelligence, physical security, training and safety. Evaluated contractor operations in support of host nation participation in drug enforcement operations, and recommended corrective actions. Served as the primary liaison with host nation forces on day to day operational matters. Supervised and monitored a 300 man CORAH engineer construction project. Instructed and developed weapons familiarization and base camp defense plan for US Government employees. Established a real world workable and executable camp evacuation plan for US personnel. Established and implemented a coordinated camp defensive reaction plan with the Peruvian National Police, Peruvian Army and Peruvian Air Force, effectively facilitating and bridging political differences between the three organizations.
