The committee has scheduled a buffet luncheon on Friday, July 18th at the Quaker Square Station. Quaker Square is at 135 South Broadway between Mill and Bowery (where the silos are.) It had been operated as a hotel, but recently has been taken over by the University of Akron to be used for student housing. The Quaker Square Station is the building directly behind the main one and is now used for all the banquets, etc. The Martin Center at the University, which is where we have met in previous years, is to be completely renovated. The new luncheon site is accessible and parking is available and free.
Mark your calendars and plan to attend. In the spring of 2014 the final details and a request for luncheon reservations and payment will be issued. The price will be less than would normally be charged due to the many donations received last year to help with mailing etc.
