Honor Tennis Coach at BHS

Last Labor several classmates from th e 1963 tennis team came
to Brentwood to celebrate 50 years of coaching tennis for Clem Stancik. The old high school team...Lester Mandelker, Robert Galucci, Joe Fritz and others defeated the present high school tennis team in a match.That is correct :)
The Long Island Newsday covered the story which made
headlines. Then 6 months later...Clem Stancik won the
Arthur Ashe humatiarian award for the USTA given to him
by Patrick MeEnroe (brother of John McEnroe).
We are all so happy to see a derserving person like Clem Stancik win that award.
