Spent 22 years in the Air Force serving 4 tours in Germany, 1 year remote in Italy, North Dakota, Montana. New Jersey. Buckley AFB Colorado. Received several medal for my service.

Enlisted 1981. Stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB, SC, then RAF Bentwaters, UK as a Photo/Video/Sensors Tech on A-10's, then Castle AFB, CA as a Photo/Video tech on B-52's. While at Castle i retrained into Information Systems Programming and stayed at Castle programming B-52 and KC-135 flight simulators.

Enlisted int the Vermont Army National Guard in 1979. Retired from the US Army Reserves 2009.
Received commission via OCS.
Armor Officer (tanks)
Served in the Illinois Army National Guard 1983.
Active Duty with the Univ of Vermont ROTC program 1990-1996.
Changed Branch to Civil Affairs, Special Operations Command, was training with the 173 Airborne Brigade (US European Rapid Deployment Force) in Italy and in Germany when 9-11 happened.
Mobilized for 2 years to Fort Drum, NY where I was Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations for the 10th Mountain Division 2004-2006.
Finished up with two tours in Afghanistan 2008-2009, where I was the Senior American officer for Civil-Military Operations ISAF HQ, Kabul.
Total of 13 years active duty.

Spent 3 years as a radio repairman at Hunter Army Air Field in Savannah Georgia at a radar station. Then to Texas and Mass.for advanced electronic repair. Next 3 years were spent in San Vito Italy, where we enjoyed a lot of traveling.Back to Kelly Field in Texas for my last 2 years on world wide TDY duty installing and repairing electronic surveillance equipment.Moved to a small town just outside of Savannah Georgia , where we still live.

I left for basic training on January 10, 1968. While there I was given the occupation specialty as a bandsman. I served mostly with the U. S. Marine Drum and Bugle Crops. I also served as an Embassy Guard in Djakarta, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Any and all photos I had from those years were destroyed by Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

Served in the US Navy for 6 years as an electrican on aircraft navigation systems and communication devices. Spent three years working in a joint command working along-side both Sailors and Marines supporting the efforts of Marine helicopter and Navy P-3 (aircraft) squadrons deployed in Iraq, Italy, and Qatar.

I joined the Marine Corps straight out of BHS. I traveled all over the world a couple times over. I deployed aboard the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy CV-67 in 88-89. I participated in Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 90-91. I made two more deployments to Iwakuni Japan, where I went to several other countries. I started out as a Private and retired a Captain. If I could do it again I would sign up today! Semper Fi!

I was an Army officer for 37 years. Served with the 101st Airborne Division, 1979-83 on active duty. The remainder of my service was in the Army Reserves. The last ten years, I was the IMA Reserve commander for the Pacific Regional and the Southeast Regional Dental Commands. I have been a United States Military Academy Liaison Officer for my county for 19 years and continue to serve. I retired as a colonel.

After BMT, I attended The Defense Language Institute at Lackland AFB and became a Cryptologic Linguist (Russian). I was stationed at the 6981 ESS, Elemendorf AFB for three years. Next, I was stationed at Kelly AFB, HQ Electronic Security Command (formerly), where I became an Intelligence/Research Analyst. I left USAF in 1990, and became a defense contractor, supporting the Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst.
