About Me	1975-1995 - Served in the the US Air Force as a helicopter crewchief. Served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm with the 20th Special Operations Squadron on the MH-53 Pave Low helicopter. 1997 - 2007- Worked for a community newspaper in Destin, Florida, where I was the home delivery manager and wrote columns occasionally. Meanwhile I pursued my degree sporadically over the years, finally earning my bachelor's in 2006, just before my 54th birthday! Apr 2008 - Mar 2009 - MS/ HS Social Studies teacher at a charter school for at-risk students, grades 6-12. May 2009 - Unemployed after my position was eliminated due to budget shortfalls and actively seeking a teaching position from Florida to Alaska and all points in between! August 2009 - teaching social studies and science at the Jacobs Creek Job Corps Center outside Bristol, TN! In between all that, I've been to Panama, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Italy.
