Tommy and Dawna Williams, Jim Marker, John Burton and I started this two years ago. It is an open invitation to gather, remember, laugh, cry and celebrate those of us who are here and those who have gone before us. There is no dress code, we don't care about your bank account, your house, and how much hair you have or don't have. We all have a special bond and seeing people you may not have seen in some cases for 40 plus years.Class of 73 celebrates 45 years and since ours have not been to well attended we will do it in coordination with this gathering. Bring a chair and beverages of preference including water. We will be providing fish fry and wings and some sides about 1:00 and all we ask is a $10.00 donation. Class pictures at 3:00. Games throughout the day and the great tomatoe toss in between somewhere. Must be seen to be believed. I know this is late but I forgot about this site. Sorry. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR HOMECOMING WEEK OCTOBER 12TH, 13TH, 14TH, 2012. Plans have been made for our 50th class reunion to be held October 12th, 13th, 14th, 2012. We’re all excited about the different activities and seeing faces we haven’t seen for awhile. It is hard to believe that 50 years have passed so quickly. We have a lot of classmates planning to attend so please join in. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12TH 11:00-1:00 Lunch at Bryant Cottage-We have 2 tables reserved for our class. 1:15-1:45 Pep assembly in the High School Gym. Football players and cheerleaders are introduced. 2:00 Parade through downtown Bement on the class of 1962’s float supplied by our very own John Morris. 3:00-5:00 Hospitality hour at the Bement State Bank immediately after the parade. 5:00-7:00 Fish fry at the American Legion, cost is $7.00. Our class is planning to meet around 6:00. 7:00 Football game 9:30-??? Few drinks at The Lucky Monkey ( formerly Glennons ) SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13TH 5:45 PM Alumni Dinner at the Bement middle school cafeteria. Cost of the dinner is $15.00 per person and the deadline for reservations for the dinner is Monday, October 8th. A form to make reservations will be sent out by Peggy Wright Wells (class of 78) around August 30th. Classes of 1961 and 1963 are invited as well as any other friends from other years. We will have a program honoring teachers and deceased classmates. Special prizes will be given for ???????? Oldies but goodies will be played and maybe the “twist†will be revisited. Be sure and bring your camera. People are ask to bring a hors D'oeuvres dish to pass. Drinks need to be purchased from the American Legion. TURN OVER PLEASE SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14TH 9:00 am Brunch at the Red Wheel restaurant in Monticello, next to the Best Western Motel. Be sure and let Judy Hendrix Sochor know if you plan on attending and how many people so she can reserve tables.
