Dear AVHS 1960 Classmate:
I hope this letter finds you and your families healthy and safe. It has been three months since I wrote to invite you to our 60th Reunion. Our committee has been at work planning and anticipating, but last week we realized the reunion would have to wait. While we did consider postponing until fall, that also seemed a risky proposition. It is a different world now, and we have no choice but to accept the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a life-threatening disease, and our age group is at greater risk.
A reunion is defined as a social gathering attended by members of a certain group of people who have not seen each other for some time. So, it will be 61 years when we gather again! The committee was unanimous in its decision to postpone to July 23-24, 2021.
Here is what you can expect in 2021:

April Registration materials will be sent
Friday, July 23 Dinner at Shannopin Country Club
Saturday, July 24 Picnic Lunch at Acord Park

We hope to see each and every one of you on July 23 and 24, 2021! In the meanwhile, what was it Carly Simon wrote in 1971? Anticipation… It is a long time to anticipate, but what a great moment it will be when we gather again!

AVHS Class of 1960 Class Reunion Plans
Seasons Greetings to our Avonworth High School Class of 1960! We hope that everyone is well and that each of you had a Good Holiday!
After canceling our reunion plans last summer due to Covid-19, we look forward to getting beyond the challenges of 2020 and on to making our Class of 60 (plus one year) Reunion happen!
Mark your calendar for our Reunion July 23-24, 2021!!!…the Friday evening dinner at Shannopin CC and Saturday picnic lunch at Avon Park.
We suggest that each of you follow C.D.C. guidelines and get vaccinated against Covid-19 (unless advised of a medical risk.)
If it is needed, consider your plans for where you will stay and your transportation for travel.
