David A. Scheid
David A. Scheid Class of 1966
Army, 3 Years
Service from Sep 1970 - Sep 1973. Russian Linguist in the Army Security Agency. Served on the East / West German border for 17 months from 1972 - 1973. Lived in a building built in 1671! No heat, no hot water. Windows couldn't close. Walls 8" thick and the door 5'8" high! The beams were 5'10" high! It was build for the people at that time. It got colder inside than out during the winter. The town had 17,000 people. Hasn't changed. Everyone over 18 leaves for the cities. Pretty boring most of the time. The local beer was great!

Marine Corps, 4 Years
Started out in the ARMY-NG as a Helicopter Mechanic then entered the Marines as a Diesel Mechanic. Got out in 92 a LCPL
Dr Dan Hatton
Dr Dan Hatton Class of 1963
Army, 20+ Years
Served right out of High School (Private-Sergeant; Infantry, Field Artillery, Finance) Break in Active Duty, worked in healthcare administration (Hayward, CA). Back on Active Duty 1974 (Direct Commission) until Summer 1998 as a Colonel (US Army Medical Service Corps)--30 years total Active Duty. Part of the team that closed down Berlin (Medical & Signal Units) & implemented Telemedicine in Zagreb. However, it was the superb young men and women I was honored to serve with that deserve the most credit for protecting this wonderful country from overseas and here in the U.S.A.

Pilot (C-141, C-131, CH-3E, T-33, T-29), radar weapons controller, plans officer, transportation system mamger, command post duty officer, etc.

Army, 2 Years
Stationed in Stuttgart, Germany at the 300th Military Police Battalion guarding NATO Tack sites.
