My first duty station was Hunter Army Airfield, located in Savannah, GA (06/84 to 10/85). My second duty station was at a U.S. Army base in Seoul, South Korea called K16 (11/85 to 11/86). The end of my year in Korea was also the end of my first enlistment, and at the time I didnt want to reenlist, so I was honorably discharged. Three months later I changed my mind and reenlisted and was sent back to HAAF (02/87 to 07/89). My M.O.S. was changed in the summer of '89 and I was sent to Ft. Leonardwood, MO (07/89 to 09/89) for my second A.I.T. and then was sent back to HAAF (09/89 to 10/90). In October '90 my unit was deployed to Saudi Arabia for what was to become the Gulf War, a.k.a. Desert Storm (10/90 to 04/91). My second enlistment was supposed to end in February '91, but the Army put all discharges on hold because the war was going on at that time. After my unit returned to the States in April, I spent one more month at HAAF and was honorably discharged a second time in May '91.
