Basic training at Camp San Luis Obispo (signal corps), served in Korean War for 13 months, up to an including end of hostilities, with 73rd Combat Engineers. Most of duty in North Korea until just before the war ended, when our unit moved south of the 38th parallel. Finished service at Fort Irwin near Barstow.
