Dear Classmates from the Class of 1963…
Fifty years ago (yes, it’s 50….this is not a typo), many of us walked across the floor of the Anacortes High School gym and received our diploma. We were ready for what was to come, or so we thought. We had hopes, dreams, aspirations, and plans. Not every hope was met, not every dream realized, not every aspiration achieved, not every plan accomplished. But 50 years later, many of us have maintained some of those school friendships and we’re thankful that we can still gather as a class and celebrate the past, present, and future.
We’ve been somewhat of an unusual class in that we’ve met every 5 years without fail. And this August we’ll gather for the tenth time and celebrate our 50th.
Our reunion will be August 3 at the Farmhouse Restaurant, between Burlington and Anacortes, beginning at 6:00PM. The attached flyer has all the information.
Would you please respond by July 1, 2013 if you plan to attend the reunion or not? We’ve got three options for you to do so:
1. Regular mail. Please send your response in the enclosed envelope along with your check for the dinner.

I am hoping that we will have the best attendance in our reunion history. I’d like to personally encourage you to come. I’ve found over the years that there is a growing sense of comfort among the class members as we age gracefully.  I’ve found the times to be very warm and all of us at home with one another. Of course, the reunion is for everyone who attended high school in this class whether they were still at AHS to graduate, had moved, etc. And, spouses, friends, etc. are very welcome.

If you have suggestions or comments about the reunion or pictures that you would like to share you can do so by any of the means above as well.

You will see on the attached flyer that we also have two other events that are both “no host.” A gathering at the Elks Club on Friday night and brunch Sunday morning back at the Farmhouse.
