Honored Military Alumni
Allen Raub Class of 1964
Army, 20+ Years Retired as an Army Military Intelligence Officer after 28 years of active duty service. Served as a MACV infantry advisor to Vietnamese units. Led a five-man Mobile Advisory Team, 1969-70. Served eight years in Germany in varied intelligence command and staff positions, 1976-79 and 1983-88. After retirement from active duty, served an additional 15+ years as a civilian in the Army’s Intelligence Senior Executive Service.
Anthony Massoud Class of 1958
Army, 3 Years Entered the Army as a 2nd Lt and stationed at Fort Hood, Texas in 1964 after graduating Pitt. Battalion Maintenance Officer for 1/16th Arty, an Honest John Battalion. Served in Vietnam 66-67 and spent 6 mos as a as a Civil Affairs Adviser, and then 6 months as an adviser in the first Revolutionary Development Mobile Training Team in MACV I Corps at Hue Vietnam. 1966-Learned Vietnamese at Defense Language Institute and worked as in advisory role. Recipient of US Bronze Star and two Vietnamese Silver Stars.

Coast Guard, 20+ Years Served 4 years in the Navy and 16 in the Coast Guard. Retired from active duty October 2001

Chalbert W. Burchett Class of 1949
Army, 20+ Years Served 20 years on active duty with stations in France, New York, Texas, Korea, Maryland, Ohio, The Marshall Islands, Vietnam, and Fort Monroe, Virginia. Retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1975. Then served 18+ more years as an Army Civilian employee.

Navy, 16 Years 16 wonderful years serving my country. Health issues prevented me from fully retiring. As of today I am still serving my fellow veterans working for Veterans Affairs

Coast Guard, 3 Years Served during Korean War. Medical doctor and researcher at National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD. 11th Surgeon General of the U.S., 1969-1973.

Army, 20+ Years Retired Col. (deceased 2/14/10). Graduate of U.S. Military at West Point. Served in Viet Nam. Taught at West Point; later served as Dean at National Defense Iniversity.

Army, 8 Years Capt. 1st Air Cav. Div. South Vietnam. WIA April 9th 1967 near An Khe. Died of wounds Jun. 1st 1967 in Yokohama Japan.
