Served in Philadelphia on a ship for four years. Maintained buoys along the Delaware River.

Army, 2 Years

Drafted into service in October of 1966. Basics at Ft. Polk, Louisiana and AIT at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado until deployment to Vietnam in January 1968. Entered Vietnam in the middle of the start of the Tet Offensive at Camron Bay, in B Battery 3rd and 82nd Artillery, 196 Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division as a gunner on the 105 heavy artillery guns, and left Country to return to the United States the end of September 1968 where I was released from active duty and served the remainder of my obligation in service as a member of the National Guard.
