National Guard, 20+ Years Served 30 years both active and inactive. Served in all three rank structures, Staff Sergeant, Commissioned Officer as a Major, and Chief Warrant Officer II. Commanded the unit in Ottawa for 3 years, and served on Division and General Staffs. Served in Iraq from 2004 - 2005. Awards include Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart

Career spent as Armament Systems Specialist, Technician, Supervisor and Flight Chief.

ABOARD USS OMAHA SSN692, LOS ANGELES CLASS FAST ATTACK SUB AS TORPEDOMAN E-4.1983-1984 CROSS RATED TO GUNNERS MATE GUNS AND WAS STATIONED @ CONCORD NAVAL WEAPONS STATION CONCORD, CA. ABOARD USS SHASTA AE-33. MADE TWO WEST-PAC DEPLOYMENTS TO THE SOUTH PACIFIC. HONORABLY DISCHARGED APRIL 28, 1984 @ CONCORD NAVAL WEAPONS STATION. I ENJOYED MY TIME IN THE NAVY AND ENJOYED THE MANY PLACES THAT I VISITED AND LIVED. I AM A LIFE MEMBER OF THE VFW ALSO.

Navy, 10 Years Enlisted from '86 to '90 serving on the USS Cleveland. Active Duty Reserve '02 and returning to active duty '04, serving on the USS George Washington until August 8, 2008.
Matt Clingon Class of 1998
Marine Corps, 8 Years Enlisted on 17th birthday. Left for boot camp in San Diego, CA, shortly after graduation. Served in Marine Corps Honor Guard for 2 years in Washington, D.C. Served with 3rd Bn, 2nd Marines in Camp Lejeune, NC. Deployed to Okinawa, Japan for 6 months. Participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Fought in the battle of An Nassiriyah. Served as a Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SC. Honorable Discharge, July, 2006.
Randy Potter Class of 1974
Marine Corps, 20+ Years Enlisted in 1974. Stationed in California, Phillipine Islands, North Carolina, Washington DC & Portland, Oregon. Travels took me to many places, including Scotland, England, Spain, Panama, Japan, Korea, Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, Wake Island, Cuba and the Aleutian Islands (Alaska). Also participated in Desert Shield in Saudia Arabia & Desert Storm in Kuwait. Final duty station was training reservists in Portland, OR. I retired in 1994 as a Gunnery Sergeant.
Shane Manis Class of 1985
Navy, 12 Years I served from 4 years out of high school, and returned to serve 2 1/2 years active duty reserves, married with 2 children. Upon hearing that I had a billet for deployment, I put in a package for active duty, and was given orders for active duty and sent to Norfolk/Virgina Beach, VIrgina. My family and I moved and we spent 2 years there. In June of 2007, my wife and children moved back to Ottawa, and I stayed to prepare the ship for a homeport change to Japan. In August 2008, I left the Navy to return to the civilian world. I had completed my tour and was ready to be back with my family.
