About Lewis Carl Myles, Sr. was born on December 22, 1959 in Liberty, Mississippi to J.C. and Jessye Mae Myles. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.

He departed his earthly life on April 29, 2016.

He attended Zion Benton High School in Zion, Illinois and later joined the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps, Lewis returned to Illinois and worked for First Student Transportation company for 18 years. He also worked in landscaping and enjoyed when his sons worked along with him. Lewis recently moved to Silver Creek, Mississippi where he was employed with Head Start Monticello II as a custodian team member as well as a bus driver. He enjoyed life and was passionate about fishing and greatly enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

He leaves to cherish fond memories of his life: his Mother Jessye Mae Myles of Liberty, MS; his fiancé Elsie Rodriguez of Silver Creek, MS; His beloved children: 9 Sons, Ceaonda (Lucresha) Taylor of Seattle, WA, David Myles of Augusta, GA, Lewis Myles Jr. of Waukegan, IL, Jesse Myles of Waukegan, IL, Brandon Boothe of Raytown, MO, Jasper Myles of Waukegan, IL, Lintrell Myles of Waukegan, IL, Zechariah Myles of Silver Creek, MS, Kaden Myles of Silver Creek, MS; 5 Daughters, Wilhelmina (Gerard) Garay of Buffalo Grove, IL, Markita Brown of Waukegan, IL, Qudisa “Ashley” Johnson of Waukegan, IL, Unika Myles of Waukegan, IL, Zenaida Myles of Silver Creek, MS; His siblings: Bertha (Orlander )Warner of Beach Park, IL; Katherine (Calvin) Thompson of McComb, MS; Alice (Ronald) Finch of Gurnee, IL; Janice (David) Bezotte of Beach Park, IL; Clayton (Allison) Myles of Silver Creek, MS; Gloria Myles of Gurnee, IL; Mildred (Earl) Moody of Indianapolis, IN; and St. Clair Stewart of Indianapolis, IN. Special childhood friends the Williams Family and the Moore Family, 45 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father J.C. Myles, his son James Myles, and both sets of his grandparents.

A Celebration of His Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, 2401 Argonne Drive, North Chicago, IL. Pastor Gerald Wilcoxon, W.C. Matthews Officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery, Zion, IL. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M.
