About	Elaine A. Bauer February 2, 2010 Elaine A. Bauer, 60, of Dallas Township, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, 2010, at General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Edwardsville, Elaine was a daughter of the late Josiah Watson and Rowena Davis Watson, Edwardsville. Elaine was a member of the first class graduating from Wyoming Valley West High School. She was also a graduate of Wilkes College. She was a teacher at Wyoming Valley West High School, retiring after a career spanning 35 years in the school's English Department. She especially enjoyed the 12 years she spent directing the school's fall and spring plays and musicals. Elaine has resided in Dallas Township the past 23 years and had spent the 10 years prior in the Tunkhannock area. She was a member of Shavertown United Methodist Church and its choir. Surviving, in addition to Elaine's mother, are her husband, William B. Bauer; son, Kenneth B. Bauer, Cambridge, Mass.; two daughters, Kathrine A. Klemmer, Burk, Va., and Kristine L. Sharar, Sewickley, Pa.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 420 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. The Rev. M. Lynn Snyder, pastor of Shavertown United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial Donations, if desired, may be made in Elaine's name to the Shavertown United Methodist Church, 163 N. Pioneer Ave., Shavertown, PA 18708-1029.
