Cynthia Frazier Bogart Memorial Fund
Established and Accepting Donations

Cynthia Frazier Bogart, 43, who grew up in Killington, VT, and attended Woodstock Union High School in Woodstock, VT, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, Lyle Bogart, her six-year-old daughter, Saoirse, and her three-year son, Waylon, as well as her mother, Sheila Frazier of Rutland, VT, and her brother, Stephen Frazier of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond J. Frazier, and her brother, Raymond J. “Jack” Frazier, II.
To honor Cindy’s memory, a group of her childhood friends have established the Cynthia Frazier Bogart Memorial Fund, a college education fund for her children. As a graduate of Colgate University who later earned her master’s degree from the University of Vermont and taught at the Community College of Vermont for a dozen years, Cindy was an enthusiastic advocate for education. The Cynthia Frazier Bogart Memorial Fund will allow Cindy’s children to follow in their mother’s footsteps and attend college.
While Cindy left Vermont with her family four years ago, she will always be thought of as a treasured member of Vermont’s community. She has also been a beloved resident of Tacoma, Washington and most recently Chinle, Arizona. Her husband, Lyle, who Cindy first met in Burlington, VT, continues to reside in Arizona with Saoirse and Waylon. A single father now, he works for Indian Health Services as a physical therapist on an Indian reservation.
Over the course of her life, Cindy earned the love and admiration of her friends, family, neighbors, classmates, and students. At what would have been Cindy’s 25th high school reunion on June 14, 2008, the Woodstock Union High School class of 1983 toasted her and traded reminiscences. She will be remembered for her kindness and humility, her quiet intelligence, and her steadfast friendship, among so many other qualities that enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Donations to help fund the college education of Cindy’s children can be sent to: The Cynthia Frazier Bogart Fund, 580 Leavensworth Road, Hinesburg, VT 05461. Please feel free to reproduce and circulate the accompanying flyer. For more information, email: aadl@madriver.com.
