About	Prudence was born in Winterset, Iowa August 1922 to Prudence Mildred Hamilton and Clarence Elsworth Hamilton. Her older brother was Joe, and little sisters Connie and Judy. Prudence (Prue) married Richard (Dick) K. Smith of Clarion in 1945. Prue and Dick settled in Lewiston, Idaho for many years before permanently settling in Missoula, Montana in 1968. Prue was a marvelous administrative assistant before her time and she and Dick were very active in many Democratic causes throughout their lifetime. They had three children, Richard, Stephen and Prue Anne. Dick passed away in 2001. Stephen passed away in 2003. Prue was loving, steadfast and kind. She always had a sparkle in her beautiful hazel eyes and maintained her marvelous sense of humor until her passing. Prue suffered from dementia the later years of her life and sadly Prue passed away at the age of 98 from Covid19 in a nursing home on November 3rd 2020 with her daughter Prue Anne by her side. Prue was an Iowa girl through and through with corn and butter some of her favorite foods, just behind chocolate and icecream. In honor of Prue's wonderful life, please pass along kindness to other human beings and make sure you slather butter on your corn. Rest well, My dear Mother. You are so loved. Now let's eat some chocolate. ????
