About	MARY RAMSEY SMITH, 62 School Teacher WINTER HAVEN - Mary Ramsey Smith, 62, died from breast cancer on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Born in 1948 to Braden and Martha (Lantis) Ramsey in Hamilton, Ohio, Mrs. Smith moved to Winter Haven when she was 13 years old. She graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1966. After obtaining her degree from Florida State University, she taught math at Westwood Junior High and Jewett in Winter Haven. From 1971 to 1973, Mrs. Smith taught math at Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama. Returning to Winter Haven in 1973, Mrs. Smith worked as a homemaker raising her two children. Mrs. Smith was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son, Victor (Jennifer) Ramsey Smith, Winter Haven; daughter, Claire (Joe) Smith Patten, Jacksonville; sisters Sally Raiden, Winter Haven, Rita Ramsey, Turkey, and Sandy Ramsey, New Jersey; and three granddaughters. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, Winter Haven. Memorial contributions to Grace Lutheran Church or Good Shepherd Hospice.
