About	Patricia Elaine "Lanie" Patterson Shull, the chief accountant for the city of Winter Haven, died June 5, 2005 after more than a year battling breast cancer. She was 58. She was born Oct. 6, 1946, in Winter Haven, and graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1964. She attended Polk Community College before she served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After her discharge from the Air Force, she attended the University of South Florida and Florida State University, where she obtained a master's degree in finance. She was chief accountant for the city of Winter Haven, and worked for the city for 27 years.
