Alumni Obiturary

Eloyce Geraldyne "Gerrie" (Tuttle) Warren, passed peacefully on Friday, 9/21/2012 at 6:30 am at the age of 90 in Tucson, Arizona. Gerrie was the daughter of Bobbie and Howard Tuttle and grew up in Winfield graduating from Winfield High School and Southwestern Collage with a BA in Library Science. Gerrie was the editor of the school's paper, wrote for the Winfield Courier, then became a librarian at Strouther Air Base where she met her husband, John Warren, of Lake Providence LA. She was the librarian at Tulane University while John was getting his BS in Architecture and a BA in Engineering. They moved to Germany in 1951 where they both worked for the US Government for 30 years. In 1952 they had their daughter, Susan Kay Warren, and moved from Heidelberg to Munich, then to Frankfurt, then back to Heidelberg. In Germany Gerrie was President of the Women's Club, The President of the European Girl Scouts, while John was the Grand High Priest of the European Masonic Order. Gerrie received top secret clearance in 1970 and became the General's assistant in Frankfurt and was in the IG Farben building when the Bader Meinhof gang blew up a bomb in the building. In 1980 they retired to Tucson, Arizona where their daughter Susan lives and Gerrie's husband John passed in 1982. Susan Warren still resides there with her husband, James Agattas.
