About	Joanne P. Scherer, age 41, of Kenmore, NY, formerly of Wilson, NY, died suddenly at her home on Wednesday, January 10, 2001. She was born in Buffalo, NY on Palm Sunday, March 22, 1959. She graduated from Wilson Central High School in 1978. She attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, NY; she earned an Associate Degree in Humanities at Niagara Community College. She was an employee of Kenmore Mercy Hospital for the past ten years. She is survived by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Luchyshyn) Scherer of Wilson, NY, two sisters, Carolynn (Joel) Katz of Los Alamos, NM and Cathleen (Richard) Keasey of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Lawrence Scherer of North Tonawanda, NY. She is also survived by six nephews, Ethan, Seth and Jonah Katz, and Sean, Adam, and Kyle Keasey, and one niece, Lydia Keasey. She was laid out at Hamilton & Clark, Funeral Home in Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Jan 16, 2001 at Our Lady of the Rosary, RC Church, in Wilson, NY, by Father John Leising. She was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY.
