Sean Conover, born on July 31, 1984, in Brockton, Massachusetts, is a notable alumni of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in Whitman, Massachusetts. During his time at Whitman-Hanson, he earned three varsity letters each in football and basketball, and one in baseball. The football team under his participation captured league championships in 2000 and 2001, and were Division 3 state champs in 2001 and runner-up in 2000. He was also declared an All-league selection and the WATD Distinguished Player of the Year.

After high school, Conover played college football at Bucknell University. At Bucknell, he played in 36 games, made 34 consecutive starts and finished his career with 142 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, nine fumbles forced, three fumble recoveries and nine passes defensed. His flashiest year was his junior year where he made career-highs in tackles (55), sacks (10.5), tackles for loss (18), forced fumbles (5) and passes defensed (4). For his accomplishments, he received multiple awards such as the prestigious Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, First-team All-Patriot League selection, and even Second-team All-America honors from the Associated Press.

After college, despite being undrafted, Conover was signed by the Tennessee Titans in 2006. As a rookie, he played six games with two starts and totaled 21 tackles, one tackle for loss and two quarterback pressures. Throughout his career, he has been associated with various teams including the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams, and Hartford Colonials. He made 10 tackles and deflected 1 pass during his professional career.
