What is Joe List (born 1982) known for?

Born in Whitman, Massachusetts on April 6, 1982, Joseph Albert List, known professionally as Joe List, began his stand-up comedy career in Boston in 2000, shortly after graduating from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Known for his humorous take on daily life and personal experiences, he has since made quite a name for himself in the comedy circuit.

Throughout his career, List has released multiple stand-up comedy albums, including "So Far No Good" (2013), "Are You Mad at Me?" (2016), and several specials such as "I Hate Myself" (2020), "This Year's Material" (2022), and "Enough For Everybody" (2023). His comedy has been showcased on prominent shows like "Conan" and "The Late Show with David Letterman". Notably, his talent took him to the finals of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2015.

Joe List is also known for his contributions to the podcasting world. Since 2013, he has co-hosted the weekly podcast "Tuesdays with Stories" with fellow comedian Mark Normand. He also hosts "Mindful Metal Jacket" and "Joe and Raanan Talk Movies" with comedian Raanan Hershberg. List is a regular on Robert Kelly's podcast "You Know What Dude". His performances also took him on tour across the U.S. and Europe with Louis C.K., including three performances at the iconic Madison Square Garden.

Apart from his stand-up and podcasting career, List made his entry into the film world by co-writing and starring in the comedy-drama film "Fourth of July" (2022), directed and produced by Louis C.K.

On a personal front, List is a recovering alcoholic who has been sober since 2012. In 2017, he married fellow comedian Sarah Tollemache, who hails from Kingwood, Texas. The duo even battled against each other on an episode of "Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle".
