The 5K run is hosted by the Whetstone PTA, with all proceeds being used to support student and academic programs at Whetstone High School. Whetstone recently earned Excellent rating!
Join us for a Fun Run/Walk and support the Whetstone PTA
Again this year, the Whetstone PTA will be holding the Bring it Home, 5K Run/Walk. This year’s the Whetstone PTA 5K race will be held on October 29, 2011, at 9:00 AM. The 2011 5K run/walk is an event for everyone, of all fitness levels and for all ages. We are still looking for local companies to help sponsor this event. If you know a business that would like some name recognition and a wonderful way to support the academic success of Whetstone High School students, please contact the Whetstone PTA. Sponsor agreement forms are available by contacting the Race Director at WhetstoneFunRun@aol.com, or on the race webpage.
Registration
$20 early registration, $25 after 10/14/11, $10 for Students – registration includes a race t-shirt for all pre-registered participants. Plan now to be part of the 2011 Bring It Home 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk leaving Whetstone HS parking lot and looping through the Whetstone park. The course will run along Olentangy Blvd, past the casting pond, south on the path along the Olentangy River, with a turnaround near the Northmoor entrance of the park and back to the Whetstone HS. Awards will be given to the top 3 male/female overall finishers and top male/female finishers in age categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. An award ceremony will follow the race near the finish line.
Volunteers Needed
We will need volunteer for race registration, and to help direct runners out on the course. Any school groups or student organizations or others that would like to participate, please contact the race director.

Homecoming 5K Run
Mark your calendars and get on your running shoes. 2008 Homecoming Fun Run.
New this year as part of the Homecoming Festival, will be the "Bring It Home" Whetstone Fit & Fun 5K Run. The race is October 11, 2008, at 9:00am. The race starts in the south parking lot with an out and back course along Olentangy Blvd, past the casting pond, south to the Northmoor entrance to the park and back to the parking lot. Early registration for the run is $15, $20 after 10/3/08. Awards in 3 categories, Student, Alumni and masters (50+). For more information contact: WhetstoneFunRun@aol.com
2008 Homecoming Festival, October 10-11th, will include the Friday Parade, followed by a chance to picnic with friends in the parking lot before the game, and the Football Game starting at 7:15. Saturday will be the Fun Run, check-in starting at 8:00am, race at 9:00, a Pancake Breakfast, starting at 8:00am, and the Homecoming dance that evening. Be a part of Homecoming 2008!
