A former student of Joseph Wheeler High School, Mitchell made a name for himself in the basketball community both locally and internationally.

Notably, his position on the court has varied between playing as a power forward and a center. His professional career began in 2016 after graduating from college. Despite remaining undrafted in the NBA, Mitchell displayed resilience and talent by joining international leagues.
