Steve joined the Army shortly before graduation as a Networking Switching Systems Operator Maintainer. He was enlisted for five years and his first duty station was with the 125th Signal Bn. at Helemano, Schofield Barracks, HI. He was subsequently deployed once to Afghanistan for twelve months and once to Iraq for fifteen months. During that time he earned many awards and served until eventually receiving an honorable discharge after his first enlistment, when he decided to stay in the location of his first duty station - Oahu, HI. This is where he calls home today as he works as a Senior Network Engineer II for AT&T as a DOD contractor. He is married with two young daughters age four months and three years. He is also a graduate alumni of Chaminade University in Honolulu where he graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English.
