Kelli Martin

Kelli Martin

Class of 1999

Attended Westland from 1994-1998, my granddaughter, Kelli Martin was unique from the beginning. She grew up rough and showed her talents by making clothes and dressing up everyday for school. Although her look was looked down upon during her time at Westland, we knew that Kelli was destined for fame and fortune.
After high school, Kelli moved to Los Angeles on her own and attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She was top of her design class, and eventually went on to win a full scholarship {$30,000} for her final year, sponsored by designer Bob Mackie. She was chosen out of over 2,000 people to show her first collection in 2006, and went on to design a Fender guitar at LA FashionWeek.
After all of these accomplishments, Kelli has decided to come back to her hometown and open the boutique she has wanted to since she was young. She opened Black Market, a designer, vintage, and unique fashion experience. She has her own line, Anti.Label, in which she sells in the store as well. She has been open nearly a year and has been written about in the Alive, The Dispatch, and has put on 2 fashion shows, one with Michael Knight of Project Runway.
After growing up facing adversity, Kelli has grown up to be more successful and happy than I could have imagined, and she is only 27.
