About	Doug passed after battling bladder cancer in 2011 in Milwaukee, WI, where he owned a wastewater management business. He was an excellent student and exemplary three-sport athlete at WHS. Doug then received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy, transferred to USC, where he was on the '67 national champion football team, and graduated from Whittier College before playing three seasons as a defensive lineman in the NFL for the Cowboys, Saints and Cardinals. His younger brother Greg, WHS '66, lives in Hawaii.
