About	Carol J. Pearson was born on April 6, 1948 in Port Arthur, Texas to Maurice Lundy and Billie Jean Barrett Heck. She grew up in the Houston area, where she graduated from Westbury High School in 1966. On November 4, 1967, she married Jerry William Pearson in Houston, Texas. In 2002, she graduated from Howard Payne University with a BA Degree in Religious Education. Carol loved God and Jesus above everything. She and Jerry were active in church no matter where they traveled. She either led Bible study classes or participated in Bible study classes. After retirement, Carol and Jerry traveled across the eastern US full time in their RV. Every place they stopped Carol quickly found a group of women interested in studying God’s word together. Carol loved animals and she always had pets in the home. Her passion for animals led her to rescue many stray dogs and cats. She loved giving these helpless strays a chance at life. Carol would hand feed kittens and puppies and teach them how to survive. Carol fostered numerous puppies, raising them to a point where they could be adopted to a forever home. Carol J. Pearson passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in Katy, at the age of 73. She is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Pearson; daughters, Michele Lee Houk and Laura Diane Pearson; son-in-law, Martin Houk; grandchildren, Gage William Pearson, Jayson Houk, and Joshua Houk; sister, Donna Traill; brother-in-law, Tom Traill; brother, Jay Howard Heck; sister-in-law, Shalmir Heck; brother-in-law, Jacquy Pearson; and sister-in-law, Raye Pearson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Jean Pearson, and parents, Maurice Lundy Heck and Billie Jean Heck.
