About	Shirley Ivie, a retired elementary school teacher and resident of Canby, OR, died unexpectedly from a heart attack on September 16th, 2021 at the age of 66. Shirley is survived by her husband and son; Alan and Michael Ivie, and her sister and her spouse; Arlene and Dave Fuller. Shirley was born in Albany, OR, on February 2, 1955 to Marvin and Dorothy “Mae” Nelson. She graduated from Oregon State University in 1977. She briefly attended Linn-Benton College wherein she found and married her husband, Alan Ivie, and was happily married for 45 years. On December 13, 1985, she welcomed her son, who she was “over the moon in love” with. Shirley taught at Rural Dell Elementary School in Molalla, OR, for thirty years and continued to substitute for a few years after. Shirley was a devoted Wife, Mother and Teacher of all. She enjoyed reading, playing games and browsing social media, writing shopping list and scouring the internet to find every last deal whilst sending Alan out on shopping expeditions, writing sonnets and custom songs for people and doting on her loving husband and son. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
